Please note that the following information applies only to those who have been issued CASE student or temporary ID cards.
Summer permits are not available through the online system and must be purchased in person at Access Services (Crawford 18). They will be officially available beginning Monday, May 19. If you need parking before that date, email Access Services at parking@case.edu with details. Not all lots are available for summer parking. Lots 44 (Murray Hill and Adelbert), S-46 (NRV parking structure between E. 115 and 118), 47 (Murray Hill and Adelbert behind the Art Studio), S-53 (Veale Parking Structure on Adelbert Road), S-29 (under the Kelvin Smith Library), and lot 5 (Murray Hill near Fribley) are available for summer parking.
S-53 and S-29 require gate cards for access. If you parked in one of these structures during the school year you should still have your access card if you wish to park in either structure this summer. You must have your card with you when you purchase summer parking so that it can be assigned to your new permit. The replacement fee for an access card is $25.00. If you did not have a permit for S-29 or S-53, a $10.00 deposit is required for the gate card.
Summer parking is sold on a temporary basis. Your permit becomes effective the day you purchase it and ends on the expiration date punched or written on the hangtag. There is no grace period at the end of that time. The charge is based on the lot assignment and the duration of the permit. Summer parking cannot extend beyond Sunday, August 24. Fall classes begin on Monday, August 25.
All permits become effective on the date of purchase. Monthly permits expire one month from the date of purchase. Other expiration dates are based on the length of the program or the actual official end of summer parking as noted above. Monthly rates for 2007-08 are available and new rates for July 1, 2008 onwards wil be posted online in March.
There are no transfers, cancellations, or refunds for any summer permits. Make sure you know which lot you are purchasing your summer permit for before the transaction is finalized and you leave Access Services.
A temporary summer permit does not guarantee parking in the same lot during the academic year. Students may try to reserve space in the same lot through the online reservation process. If you intend to stay in the same lot for the fall and spring semesters (and are eligible to do so), you must reserve your academic year parking through the Student Online Permits menu option that that appears on this page. Others who purchase temporary permits during the summer will be assigned based on space availability when classes begin.
